St. Catherine Hospital
Since 1928, St. Catherine Hospital has brought healing and hope to many generations. This hospital of many firsts introduced to the region advances in x-ray technology, treatments for polio, and performed the first open heart surgery. It continues to forge new ground with technologies such as CyberKnife® - advanced stereotactic radiosurgery for cancer treatment. St. Catherine Hospital's overall clinical performance has placed it in the Top 5% of hospitals nationwide, 2006-2008, earning HealthGrades' Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence® award. In 2010, St. Catherine Hospital has received 5-star ratings from HealthGrades for: Treatment of Heart Failure; Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; Sepsis; and GI Bleed.
The 190-bed facility is located in the heart of a historical, residential neighborhood, and features a broad array of services. Its public health initiatives extend a mission of healing beyond the walls of the hospital, helping to improve the health of the community. Among the services offered are cardiovascular care, acute rehabilitation, a hand surgery center, occupational health, orthopedics, birthing center, sleep diagnostics, emergency, certified diabetes center and an on-site, long-term acute care hospital.
