I have been a recruiter for Community Hospital since 2012. With over 25 years of healthcare experience in the areas of recruitment, talent management, training and information science, joining the Community Hospital recruiting team was the perfect fit for me. I earned a Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and a Master's degree from University of Michigan, and in 2008 I obtained my certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). My goal as a Community Hospital recruiter is to "connect the best with the best ". I enjoy providing opportunities where jobs become careers and win- win situations are created for all involved.

I joined Community Hospital as a recruiter in 2000 and enjoy working with a team of professionals who strive to find quality candidates to fill a variety of positions. With prior experience in healthcare recruitment and nursing, I enjoy meeting candidates who have a passion for taking care of others and who seek to provide the best quality care possible in whatever capacity. Having earned my degree in nursing in 1995, I am currently completing a certification program for healthcare recruiters and a member of the Chicago Area Healthcare Recruiters organization. It is a privilege to be involved with an organization that continually meets the challenges of today's healthcare environment.

I started my career at Community Hospital as a college student in 2002 and after graduating with my bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 2003, I was hired as a full time permanent employee. I transferred to Human Resources in 2004, transitioned into the Recruiter role in 2005 and I love it! My favorite part of recruitment is meeting new people and the variety that HR offers on a daily basis.

I've been working at St. Catherine Hospital since June 2001 as a Recruiter. I recruit for all Clinical and Non-Clinical positions. I also facilitate the application process/hires for our "System-Wide" Registry Program. Prior to coming to St. Catherine Hospital; I had 20 years solid work history and extensive experience in the Human Resource field. I've received several certifications, attended numerous seminars and workshops, and worked one on one with consultants to build recruiting, customer service and sales skills. I find working as a Recruiter in Human Resources a very rewarding career and enjoy the variety of responsibilities it brings.

I joined St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, IN as a Recruiter in September 2012. Prior to joining Community Healthcare System, I worked in Human Resources for an oil company, international law firm and ministry. During that time, I gained experience in domestic and international recruitment, salary negotiations, onboarding, training and development, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits. I obtained my BA in Business and Communications from Indiana Wesleyan University and am a member of SHRM.

What I appreciate most about St. Mary Medical Center is the commitment to our patients and their families, and the camaraderie among the staff. Many of our staff members have been here for 30-40 years - they're family! When interviewing an applicant, I listen for how they have gone above and beyond for a patient. If I would be comfortable with this person caring for my family, then I am happy to welcome that individual to the St. Mary family. If that describes you, I hope our paths will cross soon.
