Organizes and controls all daily workflow in designated areas. Recommends changes in policies and procedures and continually assesses current methods being utilized. Envisions and recommends necessary changes in workflow structure. Responsible for interviews and recommends selection of personnel in designated areas. Supervises, orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, and disciplines all designated employees. Establishes job descriptions. Develops and consistently monitors quality improvement indicators within the areas of responsibility. Assists with preparation of budget areas of functional responsibility and assures that compliance with budget is met. Promotes teamwork and good customer service within department.

Education/Experience:
Must have current accreditation as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). Must be a graduate of an approved Health Information Technology or Health Information Administration Program or equivalent. At least one year medical record department experience, preferably in supervision. Typing skills 40-50 words per minute. Knowledge of personal computer and computerized medical record technology systems. Ability to communicate effectively and deal professionally with medical staff, department heads, supervisory, professional and technical and non-technical personnel. Leadership skills required. Self-initiative required. Must possess good data management skills, understand basic statistical methodology and clinical principles.


HOME HEALTH
Patient Care Coordinator/Supervisor

Full time – Salaried

Coordinates care between members of the health care team and patients. Provides leadership guidance to interdisciplinary team members. Performs continuous quality assurance of patient’s charts. Obtains any additional physician’s orders accurately, referring to appropriate Case Manager/RN.

The Patient Care Coordinator must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana. Must possess a minimum of 2 years nursing experience, 1 year home health, and 6 months supervisory experience.

The Phlebotomist serves as a liaison between the hospital laboratory and the patient by collecting blood specimens, urine and other specimens from both inpatients and outpatients, under general supervision, according to prescribed aseptic technique, for use in clinical and diagnostic laboratory testing. The Phlebotomist is capable of handling problem-solving regarding appropriate specimen collection, handling, delivery of specimens to the main laboratory for analysis, test order and specimen information entry in LIS, and performs incidental clerical, cleaning and supply duties. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist, and Laboratory Site Director.

Works with Transcription Supervisor to organize, coordinate, and implement the day-to-day transcription activities, general and ancillary through the Community Healthcare System, assuring they are current in work flow, updated in policies and procedures, running efficiently and effectively, and meet the current accreditation and licensing agency requirements. Assists with overall hiring, training, controlling, and management of all employees with Transcription, assuring consistent quality performance in all designated areas. Meet with representatives of externship program assisting with the development of students. Prepares budget in the areas of functional responsibility and assure that compliance with budget is met. Assist with system analysis, dictation, word processing software applications as well as integration of management information systems, presenting recommendations to the purchase of capital equipment for entire system. Prepare and/or present in-services as necessary. Collect, analyze and present statistical reports as designated. Manage computer system technology within functional area assuring system resources are running efficiently.

Graduate of approved school for Health Information professionals, Health Information Technician certification or Associate Degree in Business preferred. Two years of Health Information Supervisory experience or equivalent required with management experience. Medical transcription, word processing and dictation experience required. Knowledge of integrated information systems, computer capabilities and skills to assess and implement programs necessary to maximize transcription functions are essentials. Knowledge, skills, and professionalism necessary to interact with physicians and other health professionals effectively is required. Must be current in knowledge of requirements of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Indiana State Department of Health, Medicare and state and federal laws dealing with Health Information Management Services.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, oversees and repairs the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems of the hospital while focusing on patient, visitor and staff safety. In addition, also maintains the medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, and the plumbing distribution and piping systems for HTHW, LTHW, chilled water, steam, potable water, medical air, vacuum and oxygen. Operates high-pressure hot water boilers, absorption chillers, centravac chiller, steam generators, electric power generators and performs water treatment procedures. Maintains, repairs, and installs heating, cooling and air conditioning systems and equipment of the hospital.

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years job related experience preferred.

Radiology Transcription

Evening Shift

Accurately transcribes all medical dictation of the medical staff from digital dictation system using a console for system control, also utilizing word processing. Accurately transcribes medical dictation received from the Ancillary Departments and Emergency Department physicians.

Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent is required. Transcription coursework including completion of a certified medical terminology course, word processing and dictating equipment experience is required. At least one year of medical transcription experience in a hospital setting transcribing the four basic report types is preferred. A broad knowledge of surgical and pharmaceutical terminology is helpful. A typing speed of 60 wpm required. Strong proofreading, editing, grammar and spelling skills, the ability to use reference books, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Laboratory - Microbiology
Medical Technologist (MT)(08-01-51)

Days

Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and documents a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and/or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests; conducts advanced tests. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Technical Specialist, General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.

Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) and graduation from an approved school of Medical Technology. Certification or eligibility for registration through examination by an Accredited Agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or NRM) is required. Employee must pass certificate examination within three (3) consecutive attempts. First attempt must be made within one (1) year of hiring. If certification is not obtained, employee will be reassigned (if position available) or discharged. Experience in Chemistry and Hematology highly preferred.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology and be registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Preferred Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification by the ARRT (MR) or meets eligibility requirements for examinations. Examinations must be completed within one year of eligibility.
