Inpatient Medical Oncology

At Community Hospital, we see oncology care through the eyes of our patients, bringing together a multidisciplinary team to offer highly specialized and personalized services. Patients have access to a variety of hospital resources during their stay, including educational and nutritional services, pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, radiation therapy, social services and hospice. Community Hospital's Inpatient Oncology unit has been relocated into the newly remodeled fifth floor of the West Pavilion. The carpeted, quiet hallways of the new inpatient Oncology unit are awash in the soft glow of light that emits from wall sconces positioned outside each of the 26 all-private patient rooms. Designed to be soothing and comforting, the rooms are decorated in organic tones of sage green, chestnut, goldenrod and cream. The home-like features of each room include a comfortable sofa, built-in storage unit, desk, flat screen television, WI-FI for internet use and spacious, glass-tiled bathroom and shower. The sofa in each room folds down into a bed to accommodate an overnight guest so loved ones can remain close with 24-hour visitation.
