A new total body care center, SpaPointe and Hair Studio, offers to the public a variety of services, ranging from massage therapy, body wraps and exfoliating treatments, facials, hair and nail care and special spa packages.

The 1,500-square-foot SpaPointe is on the ground floor of The Community Hospital Fitness Pointe, a medically based fitness center located at 9950 Calumet Ave., Munster.

SpaPointe and Hair Studio offers men, women and children hair cuts, waves and coloring as well as scalp and demineralizing hair treatments. Manicures, pedicures and customized facials also are available.

Deep tissue and aroma therapy massages are provided in hour or half-hour increments. Body wraps and treatments include: arctic algae, aroma therapy, herbal linen wrap, body shaping wrap and mud therapy. In addition, SpaPointe and Hair Studio offers a variety of exfoliating body treatments.

Customized spa packages include the Bridal Package, which features face, body and hair care three to four weeks prior to the wedding, one week prior and the day of the ceremony. A Groom's Package offers similar services for the man.

Other spa packages are the "Male Escape," just for men; "The Rejuvenator;" the "Executive Retreat;" and the "Mini-Retreat." All feature forms of relaxation, hair and skin care. Some also include lunch and a beverage.

Gift certificates for SpaPointe services are available as well.
