William A. Hasse III, of Hasse Construction Company, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Community Hospital in Munster

MUNSTER — William A. Hasse III, president of Hasse Construction Company, Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors for Community Hospital in Munster.

Hasse will serve on the board of Munster Medical Research Foundation, Inc., the corporate name for the not-for-profit Community Hospital. He has been president of Hasse Construction since 1984, a general building contractor with offices in Calumet City, Ill. and Munster. He is past president of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) — Indiana, the Hospice of the Calumet Area and the Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF).

Community Hospital is a member of the Community Healthcare System, Northwest Indiana’s largest integrated health care system that includes St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago.

Hasse received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 1979. A Munster resident, he and his wife, Kathy, have two children, Kimberly and Billy.
