The Community Hospital's Student Fellow Program offers students an excellent opportunity to grow in their professional knowledge, skills and experiences. Students can earn while learning to apply classroom lessons to real-life circumstances.
The program fosters professional and personal growth in a supportive environment. Students benefit from one-on-one preceptorships, gaining instant feedback and assistance from a mentor. Students are also provided with opportunities to work independently, in a group and in an assisted environment.
Our multi-disciplinary approach involves students in all aspects of care as they collaborate with other members of the health care team. Students are oriented to other specialties within a variety of environments, including acute care, surgery and ancillary departments.
A variety of specialties – nursing, physical therapy, speech, audiology, occupational therapy, radiology and pharmacy – are available each year through the Student Fellow Program.
