Seventh Annual Romp and Roll to Benefit Cancer Resource Centre

Music, clowns, food and fun can be found at the Seventh Annual Romp & Roll, a walk/run to benefit the Cancer Resource Centre in Munster. The event begins at noon on Sunday, Oct. 3 with check-in at the Munster High School Football Field.

The 5k Fun Run begins at 1 p.m. and the Family Style Walk starts at 1:10 p.m. Snacks will be offered before and during the walk/run, and a picnic takes place immediately after. All participants turning in a minimum $25 donation will receive a T-shirt. Awards will be given to the team and individual raising the most donations. Teams and individuals are currently being registered.

“It’s a wonderful event,” said Tony Andello, director of the Cancer Resource Centre. “Community Healthcare System, local community members and friends come together to show support for their loved ones—those who are battling cancer diagnosis and those who are continuing their lives after cancer.”

The Cancer Resource Centre, located at 926 Ridge Road in Munster, helps those affected by cancer obtain the support and resources they need to cope with a diagnosis. All services, which include support groups, educational programs and networking groups, are offered to cancer patients and their families free of charge.
