Expansion of Outpatient Services to Schererville
The Schererville Outpatient Center will be another link to the quality care offered through Community Hospital with specialists in family medicine, immediate care and laboratory and diagnostic services.
Community Hospital is expanding outpatient services to Schererville, reaching out to better meet the healthcare needs of residents across Northwest Indiana.
Scheduled to open in summer, 2013, the 11,400 square foot Community Hospital Outpatient Center Schererville, located at the corner of U.S. Route 30 and Harvest Drive, will offer family medicine, immediate care, laboratory and outpatient diagnostic services for patients of all ages.
Specialists in family practice and internal medicine will provide immediate care Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for patients experiencing non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. Complementing the medical practice will be a full service lab, general x-ray and advanced technology, including MRI and CT imaging.
Additionally, Community Care Network Family Medicine physicians will see patients through scheduled appointments and offer diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, injuries and preventive services.
“The Schererville Outpatient Center will be another link to the quality care offered through Community Hospital,” said Donald P. Fesko, CEO. “Because of its convenient location, this center will enable the hospital to better serve southern Lake County and continue to build healthier communities.”
When Community Hospital Outpatient Center Schererville opens later this year, it is expected to create an estimated 25 additional permanent jobs.
Community Hospital operates outpatient centers in St. John and Munster as well as several medical offices throughout Lake County. As part of Community Healthcare System, the hospital is supported by an extensive network of physician practices and a medically-based fitness center that offer a full spectrum of healthcare programs and services for patients’ well-being.
