Family Birthing Center
Your family is as important to us as it is to you. That's why we've done everything possible to make the birth of your baby a special time.
The Family Birthing Center features a home-like environment. Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum all take place in the comfort and privacy of your beautiful room which features a private bathroom, a whirlpool tub and a completely adjustable, state-of-the-art birthing bed. All the advanced medical equipment necessary to ensure safe labor and delivery, including sophisticated monitors, is out-of-sight but right at hand when required. Your baby can stay in the room with you around the clock, which enhances mother-infant bonding. Additional nursing care is always available for moms or babies who need extra rest. The unit is adjacent to the hospital's surgery area in case that becomes a medical necessity. We also have 5 birthing suites and 4 observation rooms.
With compassion and care, our staff of skilled professionals will guide you through the birthing process. Our professional and experienced nurses are cross-trained in all aspects of labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care. The same nurse is trained to take care of mother and baby throughout the birthing process, providing a smoother transition and better continuity of care.
Our obstetricians, family practitioners and pediatricians are progressive and highly skilled in their areas of specialization. Look to our Physician Referral Service for a doctor to meet your specific needs.
And remember, the entire family is welcome to meet the new arrival during our visiting hours!
