"One Gift Can Touch Thousands of Lives." This is the spirit that guides the work of the St. Catherine Hospital Foundation. Contributions to the hospital Foundation help build the long-term health of our community in many ways.
We believe the best medicine a child can receive is love. Gifts to the Foundation help support the Nazareth Home, a licensed foster home in Lake County that cares for babies with special medical needs, up to age five. Some are born addicted to drugs, or are HIV positive, or have other sever medical problems. The goal of the Nazareth Home is to offer the same benefit we want for our own children - a loving environment that will build a stable foundation for life. The foster mothers and aides give these children loving care and individualized attention. When the child's stay with us is determined to be complete, they are re-united with their parents, adopted or placed in a long-term foster home.
Sometimes, the difference between growing up and being a grown-up is an education. With a gift to the Foundation, you can help provide scholarships to community residents and St. Catherine Associates pursuing a career in healthcare.
Contributions to the Foundation also help bring hope and healing to people suffering from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and other chronic disorders.
