Chemotherapy

Various types of chemotherapy may be recommended to treat breast cancer. Should this drug therapy need to be given through an IV, patients may elect to have this treatment provided in an outpatient setting through Community Hospital; St. Catherine Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center. With extended hours in the evenings and on weekends, we make it easier for patients to schedule their treatment around their lifestyle.

A variety of services are provided through our outpatient clinics, including:

  • IV Chemotherapy
  • Cell growth stimulating factors
  • Blood transfusions/blood components
  • Implantable port care
  • Central venous line phlebotomy
  • IV therapy
  • Antibiotics
  • Vaccines

Community Hospital Outpatient Oncology:
219-836-4509 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., seven days per week.

St. Catherine Hospital Outpatient Oncology:
219-392-7197 Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St. Mary Medical Center Outpatient Oncology:
219-945-4564 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., seven days per week.
