St. Catherine Hospital hosts 7th annual Wings of Healing program
The St. Catherine Hospital 7th annual Wings of Healing Program allows participants to honor or memorialize a loved one during the holiday season. For a $10 donation, individuals, businesses and organizations can have a personalized angel hung on the Wings of Healing Celebration Tree. Personalized angel cards are sent to honorees or families to commemorate the event. For a $25 donation, the donor also receives a beautiful angel ornament. All Wings of Healing honorees and memorials are recorded in the official Wings of Healing Book located near the St. Catherine Hospital donor wall.
“Everyone who participates in this program can feel a sense of giving this holiday season in not only honoring a loved one, but helping St. Catherine Hospital continue to provide community outreach initiatives and support our scholarship program. All proceeds will go to educate and empower local residents to lead healthy lives and offer financial assistance to students in our service area,” says Shawna Oros-Burke, Director of Product Line Development and Community Affairs at St. Catherine Hospital.
A beautiful tree lighting ceremony to commemorate all honorees and memorials will be at 2:30 p.m., Wed, Dec. 11, at St. Catherine Hospital. Invitations are made to all donors who participate in the Wings of Healing program, and are included in the personalized angel card sent to the family of the deceased or the honoree.
In addition, an angel is hung on the tree for all persons who passed away at St. Catherine Hospital in the past year. The family is sent a personalized angel card and an invitation to our tree lighting ceremony. They, too, may purchase the $25 angels if they choose to have one for their tree at home.
