- Clinical Dietitian
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Provides nutritional care and support to in-patients and physician-referred outpatients according to established guidelines and under the immediate supervision of the clinical manager.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution with a major in food and nutrition, in conjunction with Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education approved program. Advanced degree preferred. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred but will accept registry eligible*. Two years experience in dietetics and/or food service operations preferred. Certification with the State of Indiana or application for certification within one month of registration.
- Jr Accountant - Temporary
- Under the general supervision of the controller performs duties associated with various aspects of accounting and finance including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and financial reporting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The minimum knowledge/education level required is a bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. Accounting experience is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required Strong organizational skills required

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB: Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and documents a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests; conducts advanced tests. Duties are performed under the supervision of either the Technical Specialist, General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: MLT with Associates degree or MT with Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) and graduation from an approved School of Medical Technology. Certification or eligibility for registration through examination by an Accredited Agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or NRM) is required. Employee must pass certificate examination within three (3) consecutive attempts. First attempt must be made within one (1) year of hiring.

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. In the role of a clinical practitioner, educator and consultant; develops and implements nursing techniques designed to improve patient care in a specialized area of nursing. Makes nursing decisions relating to nursing care management based on clinical judgment in an area of specialized expertise.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a professional nurse. Bachelors degree in nursing preferred. Minimum of two (2) years current experience in clinical area. Maintains current CPR and ACLS certification in Critical Care units. Ten (10) years nursing experience with a strong critical care background. Master’s prepared or Master’s candidate preferred.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB: Provides patients, family members and Hospital staff emotional, pastoral, spiritual and sacramental support and guidance to assist them through periods of stress, crisis or anxiety. Visits assigned patients and accepts referrals; documents care and support provided and participates in educational programs. May offer prayer or reflection from the patient’s life experience. Assists patients to understand more fully life's events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well being.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Chaplain I Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Theology, religious studies, education, counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university. Completion of a curriculum of theological classes and displays skills and competencies in pastoral care. Training: Must have obtained or be in the process of obtaining certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or possess equivalent training experience. Personal Requirements: Solid standing in the Church through ecclesiastical endorsement. Sensitivity and stamina to minister to patients with varying physical and mental dysfunctions. Flexibility in work hours, programs and services. Sensitivity and desire to work with clergy and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds. Knowledge of and support for the “Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.” Experience in working as part of a team; good communication skills.

- Diabetes Educator Instructor
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Under general supervision and according to established objectives and procedures, is responsible for assessing the need for planning, developing, and coordinating, implementing and evaluating diabetes education programs for St. Mary Medical Center patients, employees and community members.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a professional nurse. Bachelors degree in nursing required. Minimum of two (2) years current experience with diabetic patients in clinical area. Current certification in diabetes education or completion of certification within two (2) years of assuming position. Self starter with strong communication/interpersonal skills. Experience in developing and implementing educational programs desirable.
- Home Health Coder
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
The Home Health Coding Specialist assigns diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-9-CM and CPT on health information records. Abstracts the coded data and other required information into the computerized information system for data collection/statistical and reimbursement purposes.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must have registration as an Accredited Record Technician (RHIT) or Registered Record Administrator (RHIA). Must be a graduate of an approved Health Information Technology or Health Information Administration Program or equivalent. One year experience preferably in a Medical Record Department. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and deal professionally with medical staff, department heads, professional and technical personnel. Must have knowledge of clinical pertinence evaluation methodology including data collection and display techniques. Must have good data management skills, understand basic statistical methods, basic clinical principles, and medical terminology. Must be able to deal professionally with extremely confidential information. Self-initiative is required. Must be able to do detailed work, being extremely quality conscience. Must have knowledge of CRT, keyboard functions and personal computer applications as the computer is used extensively in preparation of studies. Must have working knowledge of ICD-9-CM, and CPT-4, HBOC, encoder EPR, Microsoft Word, and Home Care abstracting system.
