REGISTRATION REP
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Under general supervision, completes all hospital registration, Inpatient Admissions, Pre-Admissions, Emergency Room and Outpatient diagnostic testing and treatment areas. Establishes insurance criteria and obtains patients’ pertinent socioeconomic information; enters data into the on-line Information System. Prepares admission charts and completes insurance and billing forms; assigns patient beds based on occupancy priorities and patient diagnosis; sex and age. Works closely with nursing and physicians to ensure an understanding of room availability. Refers patient to medical triage and/or treatment personnel; collects patient payment for medical services, treatments, and supplies provided by the hospital; follows all managed care guidelines.

EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Completion of high school or equivalent with courses in typing, business systems and office procedures required. Familiar with personal computer, keyboard, printer and fax machine required. Basic medical terminology required. Knowledge in health insurance with managed care requirements preferred. Previous registration experience required. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a public contact environment required; previous hospital registration experience preferred; must possess the maturity to deal effectively with patients and to handle stressful situations.


RN - ER, IMCU, ICU, Med/Tele, Ortho, Oncology, Telemetry, Med Surg, Float Pool
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of CHS by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner, provides for the well being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. BSN desirable. Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs. Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care).


RN - HOME HEALTH
BENEFITS NOW AVAILABLE Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana. Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited program of Nursing. One year experience in hospital or nursing home preferred. Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance.

Nurse Practitioner
DEPARTMENT: Radiology

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Under the general supervision of the Manager/Director of Special Imaging Services and the clinical direction of the Radiology/Imaging Services Medical Director, provides direct patient care and manages professional nursing care for patients having diagnostic imaging services. Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice, appropriate independent judgment, and decision-making skills related to the Imaging Services patient. Assesses and monitors patient condition and initiates appropriate nursing interventions when necessary. Supervises injections of contrast for patients having MRI/CT procedures. Coordinates daily nursing care and functions as a liaison between physician, patient, family and hospital, ensuring continuity of and quality of care.

EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Current license to practice in the State of Indiana as a nurse practitioner. Minimum two years of current clinical experience in order to acquire a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing; acquire a thorough knowledge of professional nursing standards; and, develop skill in nursing techniques and the ability to adapt techniques to individual patient needs. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for pediatric. Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients/family served. CPR certified. ACLS preferred. Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, physicians and other Hospital associates.

UNIVERSITY LIAISON
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
In the role of a clinical practitioner, educator, and consultant; instructs and coordinates nursing students in their clinical practicums to enhance learning in a specialized area of nursing. Makes nursing decisions related to nursing care management based on CHS nursing standards of care, clinical judgment, and clinical affiliation.
EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a professional nurse. Masters Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in Masters Completion Program. Minimum of two (2) years current experience in clinical area. Maintains current CPR Healthcare Provider certification. Works cooperatively and collaboratively with university faculty, staff nurses and other educational personnel and resource personnel.
