Cancer survivors invited to celebrate at St. Mary Medical Center
St. Mary Medical Center invites all cancer survivors in the community to celebrate National Cancer Survivor’s Day from 2-4 p.m., June 5 at the hospital’s Waterfall Café Courtyard (use new main entrance to the west). “Strength * Hope * Love * Life — The Magic of Healing” is the theme of this first-ever event at St. Mary Medical Center. It is free and open to the public.
The celebration will begin with a ceremony to plant a Tree of Hope on hospital grounds. An old fashioned ice cream social will follow, complete with music by TK Digital and strolling magic by professional magician Steven Kellogg. Light sandwich hor’dvoures also will be available.
Door prizes and a special gift for all participants will be part of the day’s events. This program is free, but space is limited and registration is required in advance by calling 219-836-3477 or 1-866-836-3477.
