St. Mary Medical Center celebrates grand opening of gift shop

The St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary announces the grand opening of the gift shop in the hospital’s new patient tower. The event will take place from 9 a.m. — 7 p.m., April 8. Use the new patient tower entrance facing 61st Ave.

The gift shop at St. Mary Medical Center was built as part of the new $40 million patient tower that was unveiled in September 2004. The shop is located at the entrance of the tower, and is a labor of love of the St. Mary Medical Auxiliary, which operates the shop and donates its proceeds to St. Mary Medical Center.

The grand opening will feature door prizes, great discounts, a strolling musician, and a costume jewelry sale to rival all others. Patrons will be offered a 20 percent discount on all items, excluding candy, fresh flowers and hand-made items. All costume jewelry will be on sale for $5 or less.

The St. Mary Medical Center gift shop features fine items such as stuffed animals, fresh flowers, jewelry, handbags, totes, perfume, gift cards, candles, picture frames, ceramic keepsakes and much more. Featured in the rear of the shop is a section dedicated to the hand-made works of the auxiliary members, with items for sale including blankets, table decorations, ponchos, kitchen towels and mitts and other fine items.
