Caring for you is a collaborative mission at St. Catherine Hospital.

As a non-profit hospital of Community Healthcare System, we rely on the generous support of individuals, foundations, corporations and others to help our extraordinary doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals give you the best care every day.

Your support through giving or volunteering is important to us.

As we have given to the community in many ways over nearly a century, we are grateful to the community and all who give back to our hospital and programs through direct donations, event participation, fund-raising or volunteering.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of kids and families.

Donations to St. Catherine Hospital are 100 percent tax-deductible. Your contribution may be directed to a specific purpose, or designated as unrestricted.

Wings of Healing

CEO Leo Correra announces the names of those who are being remembered and honored during the 2017 Wings of Healing angel illumination ceremony at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. It’s been said that some will hear a bell ring when an angel gets its wings.

The St. Catherine Hospital annual Wings of Healing angel illumination ceremony is held during the holiday season to honor or remember loved ones.

The program features holiday music, a guest speaker and an “Angels of Hope” tree lighting celebration.

For every angel hung on the tree, a $10 donation is made to the St. Catherine Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Program. For a $25 donation, a Wings of Healing angel ornament is mailed to the honoree with an invitation to the ceremony and a note about the donation.

Angels of Hope ornaments are a beacon for our future, as well: More than $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded to help “Angels in Training” pursue educational opportunities for careers in healthcare.
