Pharmacy Residency Preceptors

NectariaNectaria Bonner, Pharm.D., MBA
Nectaria is the Inpatient Pharmacy Manager at Community Hospital and has been practicing since 2002. She oversees the day-to-day pharmacist operations. She received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, and her MBA in health care administration from Lewis University.

SeanSean Chantarapanont, Pharm.D., BCPS
Sean serves as the PGY1 Residency Program Director and is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Community Hospital. He is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and has interests in Pharmacy Administration, Medication Safety and Oncology. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed his PGY-1 and PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration Residencies at Northshore University HealthSystem in Evanston, IL.

ElizabethElizabeth Clements, Pharm.D.
Beth has been the director of pharmacy for Community Hospital since 2009. She previously worked as clinical manager at Spectrum Health, and emergency medicine specialist at Spectrum Health and Detroit Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Illinois at Chicago and Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She completed a PGY1 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI.

MikeMichael DiNatale, Pharm.D.
Mike is a clinical pharmacist who has been practicing at Community Hospital since 1992. His main focuses include critical care, infectious disease, nutritional support, anticoagulation and pharmacokinetics. He participates in the Infection Control, Medication Safety, Sedation and Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees. He completed his pharmacy education at Purdue University in 1992.

TimTim Gardiner, Pharm.D., BCPS
Tim is a clinical pharmacist at Community Hospital. He has been practicing at Community Hospital since 1998 and is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist focusing in cardiovascular care, investigational medication management, nutritional support, and neonatal and pediatric care. He participates in the Critical Care Committee, Code Blue Team, Investigational Review Board, and Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee. He completed his pharmacy education at Ferris State University in 1997, followed by his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Franciscan St. Margaret Health in 1998.

Jennifer Gorski, Pharm.D.
Jennifer received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University in 2007 and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency in 2008 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Since then, she has been practicing as a pharmacist for Clinical Pharmacy Services at the Ambulatory Anticoagulation Clinic at Community Hospital. Jennifer’s areas of expertise include anticoagulation therapy management and ambulatory expansion opportunities for Community Healthcare System.

BhavikBhavik Nana, Pharm.D.
Bhavik is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services at Community Hospital, including pharmacokinetic, TPN, and anticoagulation dosing and management; drug information and educational services; and participation on the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee. He completed his pharmacy education at Purdue University in 2010, followed by his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Franciscan St. Margaret Health in 2011. He also practices at the Ambulatory Anticoagulation Clinic at Community Hospital.

KarenKaren Simon, R.Ph.
Karen has been the Medication Safety Officer at Community Hospital since 2008 and has been practicing at Community Hospital for over 25 years. She participates in the quarterly Patient Safety subcommittee and Hospital Quality Management meetings. She also is an active member of the monthly Northwest Indiana Regional Patient Safety Coalition of Hospitals. She completed her pharmacy degree at Purdue University. Her primary pharmacy experiences have been with hospital pharmacy.

AlexAlex Szewciw, Pharm.D.
Alex is a staff pharmacist who currently practices in the Ambulatory Anticoagulation Clinic at Community Hospital. A graduate of Purdue University, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2010 and has been involved in multiple anticoagulation clinics since 2012. In addition to his experiences at Community Hospital, Alex has ample retail, Medication Therapy Management, clinical, and ambulatory experience.

MattJunyu (Matt) Zhang
Matt graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in May 2015. He finished his post graduate residency at Community Hospital in July 2016. His Clinical interests include ambulatory care, oncology, and critical care. Matt currently practices as Clinical Pharmacist with a specialty focus in Oncology at Community Hospital.

Current Residents

GarrettGarrett Rompelman
A Wisconsin native, Garrett graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2014. After completing his PGY-1 residency at Community Hospital, he plans to pursue a PGY-2 in the field of oncology and a fellowship in pharmacogenetics.

KristineKristine Manlimos
Kristine is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident and is originally from Los Angeles, California. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Chicago State University College of Pharmacy in May 2016. She has previous retail pharmacy experience and enjoys patient counseling. Kristine hopes to complete a PGY-2 specialty residency and become a clinical pharmacist. Her areas of interest include Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Ambulatory Care.
