GERD: Managing Acid Reflux

Event Details

Many people experience acid reflux from time to time. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus). If left unmanaged, this acid reflux can irritate the lining of your esophagus and cause complications.

In many cases GERD can be managed with lifestyle changes and over-the-counter medications. St. Mary Medical Center pharmacist Jonathan Guerrero, PharmD, BCPS, will discuss available treatment options to manage the symptoms of acid reflux.
