The AFib Alternative

Event Details

Join Interventional Cardiologist Hussam Suradi, MD, to learn more about WATCHMAN and who may benefit from this new technology.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is one of the most common causes of an irregular heartbeat, or arrhythmia. Patients with AFib are often treated with blood thinners, to reduce the risk of stroke from blood clots, but face an increased risk of bleeding. For those with AFib that is not caused by a heart valve problem, there is a new permanent treatment that can eliminate the need for blood thinners: the WATCHMAN implant.

Held on March 22 from 6-7pm at St. Mary Medical Center.
