Our audiologists can fit you or your loved one with the highest level of digital hearing aid technology available. We provide complete hearing aid services and offer a wide variety of custom hearing aids that fit you at your age level and developmental needs.

Hearing aids differ by size, placement and the degree to which they amplify sound. We tailor our recommendations to your personal lifestyle, financial needs and specific hearing loss. We offer hearing aids at various price points to meet you at your level of comfort.
Our team is with you every step of the way in this process and beyond. Individual counseling is available to help those with hearing-loss function more effectively in social, educational and occupational environments.

Bone Anchoring Hearing Aids (BAHA)

The BAHA is a type of hearing aid based on bone conduction. It is primarily suited for people who have conductive hearing losses, unilateral hearing loss, single-sided deafness and people with mixed hearing losses who cannot otherwise wear 'in the ear' or 'behind the ear' hearing aids.

Unlike other implantable hearing solutions, the ability to test the BAHA System by using the BAHA Softband allows you to experience the benefits of the technology first-hand before making the decision to move forward.

At St. Catherine Hospital, BAHA implants are overseen by Kedar Kakodkar, MD, a board-certified Ear, Nose & Throat specialist with fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at Northwestern University and Lurie Children’s Hospital. His team of audiologists is specially trained to fit the BAHA device after surgery.

For more information on BAHA, contact the Audiology Department at St. Catherine Hospital.
