Cancer Resource Centre

The Cancer Resource Centre helps those affected by cancer obtain the support and resources they need to cope with the diagnosis. All of the services of the Cancer Resource Centre are offered free of charge thanks to the generous support from the community and funding from the hospitals of the Community Healthcare System. The Centre offers patients and their families a non-medical place where they can come to celebrate life, deal with hardships and get their questions answered.

The Cancer Resource Centre is a Place...

...where individuals can explore complementary therapies, including yoga, tai chi, chi gong, sound healing and art therapy.

...where support groups gather, lectures are held and friends can be found.

...where books can be borrowed and internet searches conducted to help patients understand their cancer and options for treatment.

...where patients and their families receive professional counseling to help them cope with the complexities of the disease.

…where relaxation can be found in a healing garden of fragrant greenery, dappled sunlight and the smoothing waters of meandering streams and ponds.
