About Us

Our Mission... promote the well being of all people whose lives have been touched by cancer, by offering support, education and encouragement.

The Cancer Resource Centre is a program of the Community Cancer Research Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of cancer care available in Northwest Indiana and the South Chicago Suburbs. The Community Cancer Research Foundation is part of a family of healthcare companies under the Community Healthcare System, which includes three Northwest Indiana hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster; St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago; and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.

At the Cancer Resource Centre, individuals with cancer and their loved ones can access a variety of support services and complementary therapies to help them cope with the diagnosis. Thanks to the generous support from the community and the Community Healthcare System, all of the services of the Cancer Resource Centre are offered free of charge. Individuals do not need to be a patient of the Community Healthcare System to receive free services.
