Pharmacy Technician Program

The Pharmacy Technician Program prepares students for a position in a hospital setting. This program is intended for individuals with a high school degree seeking a career in the pharmacy profession. After completing the eight-to-12-week program, graduates will be prepared to take a national certification test, such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).

This program is available at Community Hospital, St. Catherine Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center.

Experienced pharmacy technicians and pharmacists serve as designated trainers, guiding the students through real-time daily processes for a practical pharmacy experience.

  • Official high school transcripts or equivalent
  • Three references: one personal, one academic and one from a previous employer
  • Criminal background check, drug screen, essential functions
  • On-site interview or virtual interview
