Empowering Women's Retreat - Self Care for Mind & Body

Join with other women to focus on yourself and enhance your personal wellness journey. Participate in interactive sessions to help you center your mind and learn to better prepare for stressful situations. Gain valuable health tips from exhibitors, participate in screenings to find ways to improve your health, and take home giveaways that will help you with your own self-care journey. Free A1C and Lipid Profile will be offered; 12 hour fast is required.

Registration is required. All participants must select their breakout sessions at time of registration. Registration closes April 12.

Keynote Session:
Self-Care for your Mind & Body
Lamia Katbi, MD, will reflect on her journey of prioritizing her physical and mental health to manage stress. Gain inspiration from her experience and wisdom to confidently move forward intentionally in your own life.

Self-Care through Self-Defense
Prepare for the unexpected. This hands-on self-defense training, led by the Hammond Police Department, will heighten your situational awareness and give you the basics to feel more comfortable protecting yourself.

It’s just us ladies here. Put yourself first and get your questions answered by LaChanda Dunlap-Wright, DO, an OB/GYN with Community Healthcare System. Dr. Dunlap-Wright will answer your questions and help you keep your physical health top of mind.

Gain peace of mind through this conversation with advisors from Lincoln Financial. Learn ways to manage competing priorities while investing confidently in your financial future.

Mindful Meditation and Chair Yoga
Quiet your inner monologue and listen to your body. This whole-body experience pairs meditation with yoga to calm your body and center your mind.
