About St. Catherine Hospital Auxiliary
St. Catherine Hospital Auxiliary provides essential volunteer services, assists with hospital fundraising and provides scholarships for students pursuing careers in healthcare. The auxiliary operates the hospital's gift shop and hosts other fundraising activities throughout the year. Since 1957, the auxiliary has raised nearly $3 million to help the hospital achieve its goal to provide quality care to its patients and the community.
There are many ways you can play a part in quality patient care. Men and women of all ages and walks of life, and teens who are 16-years and older, can volunteer to be part of the St. Catherine Hospital family.
We do our best to match your unique interests and talents with unique opportunities in many hospital settings, so you will have a rewarding volunteer experience.

The application process for adult volunteers will include a completed application, two reference forms, an interview and orientation. St. Catherine Hospital will conduct a criminal background check. You will be asked to have a Tuberculosis screening test (at no cost) and take a yearly flu shot. Skills training is offered. Volunteers must attend one-on-one orientation, an annual review and OSHA in-service.

St. Catherine Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Program is funded through Gift Shop sales, fundraising events and St. Catherine Hospital Wings of Healing Program. Donations to the SCH Auxiliary Scholarship Program are also welcomed.

St. Catherine Hospital's annual Wings of Healing angel illumination ceremony is held in December to honor or remember loved ones. The program features holiday music, a guest speaker and an “Angels of Hope” tree lighting celebration.
For every angel hung on the tree, a $10 donation is made to the St. Catherine Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Program. For a $25 donation, a Wings of Healing angel ornament is mailed to the honoree with an invitation to the ceremony and a note about the donation. More than $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded to help “Angels in Training” pursue educational opportunities for careers in healthcare.
