Our Approach
At the Women’s Diagnostic Centers of Community Healthcare System, we understand that breast imaging and other testing may be an anxious experience. We provide same-day/same-visit mammography results for the majority of appointments.
Our Women’s Diagnostic Centers is supported by the expertise of fellowship-trained breast radiologists.
Our hospitals have earned national accreditations for breast imaging, mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound guided breast biopsy.
In the event a mammogram is abnormal, navigators contact the patient directly to discuss results of abnormal imaging and recommend next steps. Should treatment be required, our navigators connect patients with a team of specialists as well as support resources.
Our navigators also coordinate all additional testing and follow-up to make it easier for women to connect with the resources they need for follow-up care. In an effort to give patients answers as soon as possible, biopsy results are called to patients the day after their biopsy, including Saturdays. This level of service provides peace of mind and quick access to care if necessary.
